Full Overview
No doubt, the special cocktail and bar food menu draw a crowd to PassionFish. The popular spot in the Reston Towne Center is decorated in cool blue hues and curving banquets while columns of glass bulbs seemingly float from the ceiling. Pair a French 75 with Oyster shooters, a Gin Rickey with Baked Clams Casino or a Margaritas de Casa with a classic Peruvian ceviche, and you’re in for a satisfying evening of seafood.
A quick glance at the menu shows a dish that nods to just about every cuisine you can think of. Clay pots pay homage to Indian food, house-made salsa turns a ceviche-style shrimp on its head and a Lemon Beurre Blanc sauce transforms the catch of the day into a French delicacy.
On another note, you can replace “steak” with “fish” and you’ll find yourself in a pescetarian’s version of a classic DC steakhouse. Instead of a petite filet and various cuts of dry aged steak you’ll find swordfish, wild Sockeye Salmon and whole Branzino on a Catch of the Day menu. Pick the accompanying sauce and a side for your fish and you’ve created a plate you won’t soon forget.
In the mood for sushi? PassionFish offers eight sushi rolls, and with names like the Rock ‘n Roll, Captain Crunch Roll and Sea Spider Roll, they’re as playful as they sound.
For date night, a special occasion or just a drink and a nibble, PassionFish serves up an adventurous menu that goes well beyond lobster, crab cakes and fish sautéed in butter.
