Attached to the Hyatt 48 Lex Hotel, the restaurant welcomes a mix of tourists and New Yorkers with an extensive raw bar selection; snacks such as herb and goat cheese beignets and richly battered Buffalo Shrimp; and mains including Buttermilk Fried Chicken and salmon stuffed with green asparagus. The sprawling marble bar attracts an after-work crowd and is the ideal place to escape fast-paced midtown for pints of beer and creative cocktails. There’s even a discreetly placed flat screen TV, an unexpected surprise, which means you won’t miss a sports a score or fall behind on financial news during a meal.
Breakfast and brunch at Lexington Brass are a big draw and include standard variations on eggs, as well as unique brass ale beer waffles with bruleed bananas, cinnamon butter and maple pork belly. There’s also Stumptown coffee and an array of smoothies and breakfast cocktails, which kick start your morning or work wonders on hangovers.
